Only a few days to go until our Nature Awareness Day here at the Reserve and we have another group joining us! Wexford Bat Group have kindly agreed to also have a table in the Visitor Centre and will be on hand to answer your questions and give advice.
All groups will be set up in the Centre from 11am and talks etc will take place in the Pumphouse. One of our Rangers will be in the Observation Tower helping visitors to identify our wintering birds.
11.30am and throughout the day – Showings of ‘A Flock of Flags’ film, a celebration of Wexford’s Migratory birds
12pm – A nature walk around the reserve with Sarah the Conservation Ranger
2pm – Talk in the pumphouse by Kildare Wildlife Rescue
3pm – Talk in the pumphouse by retired Ranger Dominic Berridge on the history of Wexford harbour
3pm – A workshop for children about local wildlife led by the Education Guide in the visitor centre,
Entry is free and there’s no need to book. Just show up and join in!
