The Pat Walsh and Pumphouse bird hides at the Wexford Wildfowl reserve have re-opened (in line with Government national guidance). The bird hides are now open from 9.30am to 4.30pm. Wear a face mask One person at a time within hide Wipe down surfaces and touch points before and after use, use hand sanitiser (please bring your own supplies, as supplies in the bird hide cannot be guaranteed) Use of the bird hide is at your own risk

The Greenland White-fronts have started heading back to their breeding grounds after building up their body fat over the winter here in Wexford. By the second week of April it is expected that all the geese will have left. Once data has been collated from this season, we hope to put the information up here on the site and on facebook.

Please do not enter the Raven Wood Nature Reserve tomorrow due to a yellow wind warning. Once the wind has abated, staff will need to enter the woods to check for fallen trees and loose branches, so for your own safety, please do not walk through the woods.
A new trail map has just been installed at the Raven Nature Reserve in Wexford. It promotes the main stone trail of just under 7km which goes through the forest adjoining Curracloe beach and the Slob lands of the Wexford Wildfowl Reserve. The trail has a minimal gradient, with seating areas provided along the route, and is marked by red waymarking arrows.
